Patriot's Abound: The War in Vietnam
Patriot’s Abound: The War in Vietnam stemmed from the war in Korea (1950-1953). After World War II, France attempted to rule over their former colony of Vietnam. This led to a civil war and the French were eventually defeated by Communist forces at Dien Bien Phu. As a result, France was forced to give up control of its Southeast Asian colonies and sign an agreement that divided Vietnam into North and South Vietnam along the 17th parallel on July 20, 1954 known as the Geneva Accords. Patriot’s Abound is a story about how America dealt with this situation and what they did when it came time for them to step up.
